Welcome to Cut & Play Recordings!
We originally started in 1997 as a label built on the foundation of great songs with catchy hooks and melodies. Our first vehicle to transport this philosophy was the two step garage music that dominated the UK dance music scene during the late 90s and early in the new millennium.

We have now moved on to apply the same principles that characterized our productions and releases to the general popular music culture regardless of the genre. As a label we champion soulful music in whatever style . Through our sister label CUTHOUSE RECORDS we offer releases in the funky soulful house genre and through CUT&PLAY MUSIC PUBLISHING we offer classic and contemporary songs.

12/10/2006 - New Productions
On the production front TJ Cases has been in the studio all week with an international artist. Who this artist is will be revealed soon, for now we can tell you that they are working on an album project. Check this space for weekly updates on the production development on this artist.

Also in production for an album project with two cuts for our funky house label is another artist soon to join the Cut & Play family named ”Haifa”. Watch this space for more info.

Remember to tune in to Cut & Play's resident DJ Babyface Jay on Chillin 102 FM. Every Sunday from 8-10pm you can hear the latest cuts from the label on the funky tip.


09/10/2006 - “Don't Stop“ on Twice As Nice Compilation
On Monday the 9th of September marked the release of the Twice As Nice compilation on Universal with “Don’t Stop 2006” TJ Cases feat Jakey amongst the line up. The compilation is in all good record shops now so go grab yourself a copy!

Cut & Play is happy to announce two new vinyl releases that are currently in all good independent record stores. The first title is “Spirit Of Love“ by TJ Cases featuring Jakey with on the b-side “Don’t Stop 2006“.

The second vinyl contains “Light Of My World” by TJ Cases featuring Chyna and the old school favourite “Do It Again (Original Mix)” by TJ Cases featuring Katblue.
